Smartcard Programming & PrintingWhen we completed our own NEROteam project back in 2010 we gained a tremendous amount of experience with customizing and programming smartcards. We found that most service providers of this type offer a slow service, often needing months to prepare, print and ship cards. Our NEROteam project forced us to buy our own equipment and we quickly found that the software and support for such printers is another dilemma. We decidided to make it in-house, customized to our needs. We bought an Evolis Quantum 2, which is capable of programming and printing in the same run. Because Multos smartcards need an activation file before programming can start, we have taken the following steps with some custom software:
The result is an easy to distribute smartcard. The barcode was added for resellers so they can easy scan the serial ID when they ship the card to their end-user, making it very easy for them to track sales and shipments.  |
